Cantilever racking is specifically engineered for the storage of long, bulky, and irregularly shaped materials, featuring an open-face design with no frontal column interference. Utilizing a robust central vertical column and adjustable load-bearing arms, this system provides unobstructed horizontal access and serves as the standard structural solution for accommodating lumber, steel pipes, sheet metal, and large furniture components.
Selective pallet racking operates on a single-deep storage principle using vertical uprights and horizontal beams. Because pallets are stored only one unit deep, forklifts have 100% direct access to any specific pallet without moving surrounding inventory. This structural layout supports First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management. While it requires multiple operational aisles, reducing overall floor space density, it provides maximum SKU accessibility and is easily serviced by standard counterbalanced or reach forklifts.
