Push Back Racking

High-Density Meets Selectivity: Engineered for Dynamic LIFO Operations.

Push back racking combines high-density storage with enhanced selectivity by utilizing a dynamic, inclined cart system that operates on a Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) basis. Pallets are stored two to six deep on nested carts, allowing each level of the rack to operate independently, which significantly reduces warehouse honeycomb effects and provides faster loading and unloading cycles compared to traditional drive-in configurations.

Selective pallet racking operates on a single-deep storage principle using vertical uprights and horizontal beams. Because pallets are stored only one unit deep, forklifts have 100% direct access to any specific pallet without moving surrounding inventory. This structural layout supports First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management. While it requires multiple operational aisles, reducing overall floor space density, it provides maximum SKU accessibility and is easily serviced by standard counterbalanced or reach forklifts.

• Stores pallets 2 to 6 deep on nested carts

• Each level operates independently

• Faster loading/unloading than Drive-In

• Reduces the “honeycomb” effect in warehouses

Ideal Applications

E-commerce fulfillment centers handling thousands of distinct items.

Third-Party Logistics (3PL) warehouses requiring rapid inventory turnover.

General manufacturing facilities needing immediate access to all components.

⚠️ Engineering Note: > Need maximum storage density for a limited number of SKUs? Selective racking consumes up to 50% of your floor space for operating aisles. Consider upgrading to our Drive-In or Push Back Racking systems.
